Describing the steirischer herbst as an interdisciplinary festival for contemporary art at least provides an answer to the question of what. Much more interesting, however, are the since when or the why—and generally, everything that goes with it. Upon request, or if it fits with the school's focus, we even examine what's behind it.

The basic workshop focuses on the festival and its contents as well as the concept of contemporary art with the aim of preparing school classes or groups for a visit to the steirischer herbst and the accompanying education formats in the autumn.
