Do you want to ascend to the Olympian top of the art market or enter the burned-out underground of the hip artistic research avant-garde? The wonderful world of art beckons, full of promises—and discursive double edges.

Lorenz Seidler, called eSeL (1974, Vienna, Austria), is an artist, art blogger, curator, photographer, and communicator. He has been documenting and commenting on the Viennese art world since 1998, initially on the radio show Radio eSeL: Die Sendung mit dem Schaf on the community radio station Orange 94.0. His website (www.esel.at) is considered one of the first art blogs in Austria and a central resource for art in Vienna and the surrounding area. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, among them: Foto Wien (2022); 5020 / Fünfzigzwanzig, Salzburg (2019); Essl Museum, Klosterneuburg (2016). He curated ARTmART, Künstlerhaus, Vienna (2007–2011), and Skandal Normal, OK Linz (2016), as well as projects in public space (Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Niederösterreich, Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Wien).
