This year’s edition of steirischer herbst centers on an exhibition in both wings of the first floor of Neue Galerie Graz. It combines historical works from the gallery’s collection with projects by contemporary artists, thus offering a rereading of the collection through the prism of ignored wars, hidden histories, and repressed conflicts.

The exhibition opens on 22.9. at 18:30. Augustas Serapinas's Margit, Maya, and Vanessa also premieres in this context. In wartime, familiar spaces become hideouts, and lines of communication are fraught. In his durational performance for Neue Galerie Graz, Serapinas manipulates the context of the museum to direct attention at overlooked details.
